Using Excel GOAL SEEK Function (Contd) Take a look at example 10.3 (page 280) of textbook: From example 10.2, we found the real root for the equation f(x)=2x5 3x2 5 = 0 to be about 1.404. We now want to use GOAL SEEK function in Excel to find the real root.
Using SOLVER
It is obvious from the results that SOLVER has much better accuracy than GOAL SEEK.
