How To Boot Windows Into Safe Mode

This document provides instructions for booting Windows 7 and Windows 8 into safe mode. For Windows 7, press F8 before boot to access safe mode options. For Windows 8, open the run dialog by pressing Windows+R, type msconfig, select the boot tab, and check the safe boot option. Getting To Safe Mode From Within Windows 8
this requires you to be booted into Windows already. Press the Win+R key combination and type msconfig in the run box and hit enter.

Switch over to the boot tab and click on the Safe !oot check box.

Minimal is normal safe mode. Alternate Shell is safe mode with command prompt Network is safe mode with networking.
