Michael Pollan stated in 2012 that he has seen no evidence that genetically modified foods pose health risks, but he opposes GMOs because he supports low-scale farming. Journalist Jon Entine claims that Pollan wants to appear moderate in his views, but has spread misinformation about GMOs, such as claiming they do not benefit consumers, even without fully reviewing the information.
