ActionPoint Look around the location.

Comments There is a plain white wall to use as background, also patterned wallpaper that could be used.

Talk to people there, organise filming permissions. Identify the equipment you need to use. Examine and identify any potential health and safety issues (e.g. crowd numbers being controlled, being set up in a sensible location that does not block access points or that damages the environment or frightens livestock, any road/traffic issues etc) Check the position of the sun and lighting conditions.

Permission from parents

Need to use a camera, light and some props.

No real extreme health and safety hazards, just make sure there are no leads or objects etc. to trip over.

It was quite dark, no natural light from the sun so an indoor light had to be used to get enough light for the photos.

Look for interesting shots and camera angles.

Experimented with shots and angles, and what position would look best against which background.

Check the electricity supply. (For the majority of exterior locations you will be using battery power) Check the nearby car parking/transport routes

Indoor so the electricity supply was all okay.

Parking and transport was all okay

Is the location suitable for production? Yes, I think the location was suitable for production as it had a good setting that was appropriate for my music magazine.
