SHN Objectives

The student nurse aims to gain knowledge and skills in school health nursing through this clinical rotation. Specifically, the student wants to understand essential concepts, safely perform procedures, maintain professional relationships, and identify issues that may hinder children's health. To achieve these objectives, the student will review lessons, attend classes, practice skills, familiarize themselves with the setting, build rapport with others, communicate properly, observe attentively, listen, study, and improve their competencies.

General Objective: At the end of my first School Health Nursing (SHN), I will be able

to gain sufficient knowledge, manifest competent and reliable beginning skills


and desirable attitude and values towards the care of school age children.
