Google, The, Magic Wand Which Is Helping Us in Infinite Ways Since Past Many Years Is Has Left A Non-Replicable Benchmark

Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin as a Stanford University project called BackRub to develop a universal digital library. Page and Brin met in 1995 as new computer science PhD students at Stanford. They incorporated Google in 1998 and developed the PageRank algorithm, which helped Google become a major search engine competitor to Yahoo by the late 1990s.

Google, the, magic wand which is helping us in infinite ways since past many years is has left a non-replicable

benchmark in the history of internet evolution. When the dotcom boom was prevailing in 1990s with the presence of big giants like Yahoo and other popular engines, Google made its name from Zero to a BIG one today. Here is a small sneak peak into how it all happened at Google.

The journey began in 1998 from a Stanford Digital Library Project at Stanford University by the Ph.D Students Larry Page & Sergey Brin, who wanted to develop a single integrated universal digital library; this project was funded through National Science Foundation. It was initially started by Larry Page under the mentorship of Tenny Winnograd and was later joined by Sergey Brin, with the name of project as BackRub The laying stone: Brin and Page first met in March 1995, during an orientation ceremony of new computer Ph.D. candidates. Brin was assigned a task to show around the campus to new students, wherein they became friends.

Before going ahead with the Journey of Google from inception to present, lets have a look at life of Sergey Brin & Larry Page. Larry Page :

Born on March 26, 1973 is basically a American Computer Scientist, and a co-founder of Google, who took the command of Google as a CEO on 4th April 2011. He is the master brain behind the Googles main competency: Page Rank Algorithm. After completing his graduation, Page wanted to explore mathematical properties of the WWW and to understand the link structure. Apart from Google, Page is a active investor and holds number of awards and recognition to his name, also in 2011, he was ranked 24th on the Forbes list of billionaires and as the 11th richest person in the United States. Sergey Brin :

Brin is a Russian born American computer scientist born on August 21, 1973, who joined Ph.D program in computer science at Stanford, and showed exceptionally well skills at Data Mining to develop a search engine. After the successful implementation of search engine, Brin dreamt further of digitalizing books, expanding health information etc. He also takes interest in Environment & Energy conservation.

The name Google comes from a mis-spell word Googol, which refers to the number represented by a 1 followed by one-hundred zeros, it reflects the idea of Page & Brin to seamlessly integrate the infinite ideas & useful information on internet on a single use friendly platform.
