Jesus Was God

1) Jesus was both God and man. Verses from John 1 and Luke 1 affirm that Jesus was not merely a man but was God incarnate in human form. 2) As both God and man, Jesus was able to live a perfect life and suffer temptations as a man, but also had the divine power to save humanity from sin. 3) We must acknowledge both the humanity and divinity of Jesus - that he was fully God but also understood human experience and cares for us.

JESUS WAS GOD

John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
LUKE 1:1-4; JOHN 1:1-18 Jesus was not just a man sent from God, He was God. This is the most important statement of the New Testament. On this truth hangs all other truths. If Jesus was only a man, then regardless of how good He was, His life could only provide a su stitute for one other man. !ut since He was God, His life was worth more than every human life since creation. Indeed it was worth more than the sum total of the universe that He created. "ny compromise on this point will negate the wor# of $hrist in our lives. Jesus was God manifest in the flesh %& Tim.
