This week we reviewed and practiced subtracting and adding mixed numbers. We also practiced using the problem-solving skill of Try, Check, Revise. We spent today reviewing for the math test which will come on Monday! Extra credit homework was handed out today.

Language We will learn next week about reflexive Writing We havent been able to get too much re-
pronouns (myself, herself, etc.) and about indefinite pronouns (anybody, someone, etc.). search in for our state reports because of all the delays and cancellations, but we are pushing forward next week and continuing to collect as much information as we can.
Spelling- Our list this next week consists of words Social Studies We began chapter 7 this week
that end in ible and able. Its going to take memorization to remember which ones end in which way. which is all about the southern colonies. It is a brief chapter which we will finish up the beginning of next week and test over at the end of the week. The Midwest state s and capitals test is on Monday!

because of our winter weather. We were able to get in our lesson on mixtures and solutions. Students experimented with marker to find out if it is a mixture or solution.
Note From the Teacher: Fifth grade is still selling carnations for Valentines Day. They can be purchased through next Friday. They are $1.50 a flower. Helps us make money for Camp Amigo! Next Friday is our class Valentins party. Students can start bringing in their Valentines next week. I am sending home a class list for students to write out their Valentines. Miss Bickel, our student teacher, started last week. Shes getting quite the initiation with all of our snow/delay days. She started taking over Spelling and Grammar this week. Next week she will take over Math. Please see the attached letter from her introducing herself. We are excited to have her with us! ~Mrs. Brosman
