Wid Stiffener Welding Calculation

The document provides calculations to determine the appropriate weld size for an intermediate stiffener welded to a tank shell. It details calculations for the combined load on the weld, load contributions from radial pressure and weld shear flow, properties of the stiffener section, and analysis of the selected weld size to verify stresses are below allowable levels. The selected weld has a leg size of 6mm on one side and 4.5mm on the other over a length of 1000mm, resulting in a weld area that can withstand the calculated combined load stresses.
