TASK 1C Analysis of Double Page Spread: NME (Dizzee Rascal Edition)

Mise-en-Scene: This is created through the used of graffiti in the image, which is often related with hip- hop and rap genre.

Subheading: This expands on the headline, giving a more detailed, but still brief, summary of the article.

Headline: This informs the reader what the article is about, a graffiti style font is used which links to the main image of the article, and there is also a play on words also linking to the main image. Byline: Gives credit to the author and photographer of the article

Drop Caps: This is used to bring the attention of the reader to the article itself.

Page Number: The page number is in the bottom left corner of the magazine, along side it is the NME title and date. This follows the convention of all NME magazines.

Main Image: The image is of Dizzee Rascal, who the article is about, the background is similar to the one on the Cover, linking to the stereotype that is associated with hip hop and rap. In the image you can see Dizzee vandalizing the wall with graffiti, portraying the stereotype.

Second Image: This second image used portrays the lifestyle that the genre promotes, drinking, partying etc.
