Introduction Conclusion Pythagoras Theorem is one of the best known formulae in mathematics. Used in innumerable application.

. By knowing the process and how to use it, we can apply it in various situations. There are uncountable number of topics that students are expected to cover in school (Pythagoras). Pythagoras Theorem was found by Pythagoras. 3 main point : Pythagoras equation, how to use Pythagoras Theorem, and how does Pythagoras works in daily life. THE PROCESS OF PYTHAGORAS THEOREM Main Point 3 Application of Pythagoras Theorem in real life - Uses of this theorem in baseball Diamond. - Can calculate the distance the second baseman have to throw the ball to get the runner out. - This theorem also used in calculating the height of a building. - Measuremens of TV. - Generally measured diagonally in inches. Main Point 1 Pythagorean equation - Mathematical relationship between the sides of a right triangle. - The length of the smallest side are squared and their sum is found. - The sum will be equal to the square of the hypotenuse.

Main Point 2 How to use Pythagoras Theorem - Examine the diagram below to derive this theorem. - Assume if we are given the value of the shortest sides a and b that are 3 and 4 respectively. - Form the equation with this value to calculate the length of the hypotenuse. -

32 + 42 = 2 The sum of 32 42 is 25. To cancel the square of c, take the square root for both sides.
c equal to 5, means that the hypotenuse equal to 5.
