The document discusses how the human mind more easily identifies patterns in numbers than letters. It provides the examples of counting series to show how quickly we can identify the next number, while letter series take more time. To help work with letter series, it presents a table to convert letters to their corresponding number positions in the alphabet. This allows letter series to be treated as number series, applying the same rules to identify patterns and predict subsequent letters. Not all letter series directly correlate to numbers, as some follow non-mathematical patterns like sequences of vowels.

Logic Letter Series

The human mind is wired to quickly understand patterns in numbers than patterns in letters. For example, given the series 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 we can easily identify the logic behind the series and identify the next number. Again, if we talk about the number 999, 998, 997, 996, 995 you can spontaneously recite the next few numbers that will follow. Now try this: A, B, C, D, E will be followed by? Easy Right? However, if I give you the series Z, Y, X, W, , can your recite the next 5 letters? Takes some time, right?

Thats because numbers can be manipulated with mathematical operators, however it is not easy to work with letters in that fashion. So, the easiest way to work with letter series is to convert them into numbers and proceed. Take a look at this table.

A 1

B 2

C 3

D 4

E 5

F 6

G 7

H 8

I 9

J 10

K 11

L 12

M 13

26 Z

25 Y

24 X

23 W

22 V

21 U

20 T

19 S

18 R

17 Q

16 P

15 O

14 N

This will help you convert the letters into corresponding numbers. Once you have the number series, the same rules of number series apply. Not every letter series follows rules of numbers. For example, the series A, E, I , O, __ is a simple series of vowels with the answer being U.
