Astronomical Algorithms, 2nd Edition Errata

June 16, 2003

Page 63, line 12, “If Z is equal to or larger than 2291 161” should read 2299 161.

Page 144, 5th line from bottom reads as follows:

∆ψ = – 17.″20 sin Ω – – 1.″32 sin 2L – 2.″23 sin 2L′ + 0.″21 sin 2Ω

It should read (with only one minus (−) sign)

∆ψ = – 17.″20 sin Ω –1.″32 sin 2L – 2.″23 sin 2L′ + 0.″21 sin 2Ω

Page 406, in subsection (3), formula for y: tan ϕ should be tan δ. That is, the current equation:

cos ϕ cos H + sin ϕ tan ϕ

y = – a --------------------------------------------------------
Q
should read

cos ϕ cos H + sin ϕ tan δ

y = – a -------------------------------------------------------
Q
