Riverside Police Ticket: Individual Dumping Garbage Repeatedly

Every day over the past two weeks, an individual has been driving by the Village Hall, Police and Fire Departments and throwing a bag of McDonald's garbage in front. The trash has been found in the morning hours and there has not been a pattern as to which building the garbage is thrown at. On Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 6:20 p.m., a Riverside police officer on patrol observed an individual drive directly by the police station, roll down his window and throw out a large bag of McDonald's garbage directly in front of the police department. The officer initiated a traffic stop and through investigation found out that this was the individual who had been depositing the trash in front of the police and fire departments or Village Hall over the last two weeks. The individual had no apparent reason for disposing this trash other than having an apparent Dislike for Village government in general. Riverside Police cited a male, 61 of Westchester for depositing trash or harmful material on a roadway. The driver faces a minimum $100.00 fine depending on what takes place at a future court hearing.
