MATH
This week in math we will be exploring the attributes of 2D shapes. Please work with your child at home to help them remember the names of 2D shapes like circle, triangle, square, rectangle, pentagon, and hexagon. They will need to know these shapes for identifying them in 3D shapes. We will also be investigating what polygons are (closed shape). A great way to extend your childs understanding of shape is to ask them what shapes they see on their dinner plate. Make a cake, cookies or use fruit in different cut shapes. Reminder: Students can play the EDM online game: Beat the Computer for extra facts practice at home.
