Rhythm Rubric

The rubric evaluates students on their knowledge of rhythm values and percussion instruments, creativity in composition, and performance of rhythmic patterns and a group composition. Students can receive a level 1 through 4 rating in each category, with higher levels indicating more accurate identification of rhythmic elements, more appropriate use of instruments and music elements in composition, and stronger reading and performance skills.
