Soonya Grahas in Astrology

Lunar phases are called thithis in Hindu astrology. During each thithi, certain zodiac signs are designated as soonya rasis, whose lords and planets positioned within are considered inauspicious. However, on full moon and new moon days, no signs are soonya rasis. While the lords and planets of soonya rasis can be harmful, there are factors like beneficial placement or transit that can nullify their negative influence, and they may actually provide beneficial results instead. Soonya thithis, rasis and grahas: Lunar phases are called thithis.

On every thithi, some rasis are declared as soonya rasis. The l ords of the soonya thithis are not beneficial. The planets in the soonya rasis are also not useful to offer benefic results. On pournami and amavasya, no rasi is identified as soonya rasis and hence there is no question of soonya graham s or soonya rasi for people born on full moon day and new moon day. Though lords of soonya rasis and the planets posited in soonya rasis are harful, there are centain factors which nullify the adverse nature of soonya grahas. When the lords of soonya rasis and the soya grahas in soonya rasis are malefic, they become benfic and offer beneficial results. Also these soonya grahas offer beneficial results when they transit the bad houses 3,6,8,12. In every horoscope these soonya grahas to be noted and their influence to offer good or bad results to be studied.
