Assignment 1 (Written) 20%
You have studies on different Greek myths and learned about many of the gods, goddesses, and heroes of mythology, in pairs, your task is to write an original myth. 1. Your myth must explain an (One -1) occurrence in nature in the same way the Greeks explained echoes, lightning, or fire. a. Why is/are there o tornadoes? fire? echoes? sunsets? sunflowers? rain? or any other related nature. 2. You will invent your own Greek god, goddess, hero, or mortal (two [2]ONLY) to be the main characters of your myth. 3. Your myth must have a cast of ancient Greek characters, a Greek setting, and problem, rising action, a climax, and a resolution. 4. You will need an original illustration to be the cover of your myth (no clip art or printed pictures!), to be drawn by you. 5. Your assignment will be in this order: a. Front cover b. Rough draft (Assignment Planning Sheet) c. Final copy d. Illustration
Assignment 2 (Presentation) 15%
You are required to present (orally) about your myth, describing every aspect of your myth using Ms Powerpoint slides with the illustration that you have created. You will be evaluated individually for your presentation skills.
