WHAT IS TRADE?
Trade refers to buying and selling of goods and services for money or money's worth. It involves transfer or exchange of goods and services for money or money's worth. The manufacturers or producer produces the goods, then moves on to the wholesaler, then to retailer and finally to the ultimate consumer. What is import? A good or service brought into one country from another. Along with exports, imports form the backbone of international trade. The higher the value of imports entering a country, compared to the value of exports, the more negative that country's balance of trade becomes.

WHAT IS EXPORT?
The term export means shipping the goods and services out of the port of a country. The seller of such goods and services is referred to as an "exporter" who is based in the country of export whereas the overseas based buyer is referred to as an "importer". CARICOM is the acronym for The Caribbean Community and Common Market which was established by the accord of Chaguaramas, which was signed by Barbados, Jamaica, Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago and came into effect on August 1, 1973. Members include Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Grenada, The Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Guyana, St. Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Dominica, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
