Penny is travelling to Australia for the first time to visit her cousin. At check-in, her luggage is over the allowed weight limit so she has to pay an overweight fee. During security screening, her nail scissors are confiscated as sharp objects are banned from carry-on luggage. Oh, I am so excited. Ive never flown before! Where are you travelling to? Im going to Australia to see my cousin. That is nice. How long is the flight? I think its about 20 hours.
AT THE CHECK-IN DESK

Good morning - can I see your ticket please? Yes here you are. And can I take your passport? Here it is. Thats fine. Please put your luggage on here to be weighed. How many suitcases do you have? Only the two. Sorry but your luggage is 3 kilos over the allowed weight. Oh no! What happens now? You have to pay 20 for each kilo. 60! Oh, Ill have to pay, as I dont want to miss the plane.

Yes, why is there a problem? Can you open the bag please? Just a minute. I have to find the key. You do know that you are not allowed to take any sharp objects on the aircraft. But I havent got anything sharp! You have some nail scissors and these are not permitted. I will have to confiscate them. It seems that everything I do is wrong! Well, you should have read the regulations beforehand. There are notices displayed everywhere in the airport on what you can take on-board. Please proceed to your gate number now Madam.

Gate number? I dont know it. Security man If you look at the departure board, you will find the information about your flight.
