Quote of the Week
Decorate your board every month. Students get
excited to see what you will doSometimes you can even let your start students create something. Vocabulary
Vocab One Sheet 10 pts.
At the beginning of each week students are to choose a word that they do not know or are unfamiliar with.
They are required to provide the word, definition, use it in a sentence and draw a picture.
Students are given a list of words to choose from at the beginning of the year/semester.
The concept is if the students write the word, look up the word, use the word, and then create something to associate it with then they will remember the word and even better, use it! Example of Students Work Act Journal for Romeo and Juliet:
Typed for extra credit
Includes:
Character development 5 literary devices Summary/prediction/comment Creative Writing Assignment: List 10 things you might find in an airport. Then, (you will have 3 minutes) using the words you came up with, create a story without mentioning anything about an airport.
