Principles of Management

Our managers consider their managerial tasks to be an essential part of their daily work. They create a
working atmosphere where employees can develop their potential and fully utilise their strengths.

In selecting our managers we not only evaluate their technical competences but also their leadership and
people skills.
ROLE MODEL
Our managers act as a role model in business and have high personal standards.
Through responsible and consistent actions we are able to create an atmosphere of trust,
motivation and identification
among our employees.
OBJ ECTI VES
Objectives are agreed between management and employees. They should be clear,
challenging and measurable.
COMMUNI CATI ON
Our managers actively communicate with their employees on a regular basis. This
creates mutual understanding which is also a prerequisite for the annual appraisal.
I NFORMATI ON
Our managers provide timely and relevant information. This allows us to strengthen
identification and deliver successful work.
DECI SI ONS
We seek to involve employees and take into account their abilities in our decision-making
processes.
Decisions are communicated promptly and clearly. This promotes acceptance and in turn
drives employeesmotivation and initiative.
Our managers are responsible for their own decisions.
FEEDBACK
Our managers should recognise and praise good work immediately and personally.
Necessary criticism is made in confidence, it should be objective, fair and solution
oriented.
Employees are evaluated regularly using a fully documented appraisal system.

We discuss topics openly and respect the personal views of all individuals.
We deal constructively with conflict and seek to use it as an opportunity to create new
perspectives.

appropriate duties.

processes and products.
Feedback to ideas should always be given promptly and clear reasons given for
