Grants Researcher and Writer
The Grants Writer and Researcher works in the Cleveland, Ohio office of CEOs for Cities, and reports jointly to the President /CEO and Creative Director. She/He is responsible for working with the President /CEO to raise the financial and in-kind resources necessary to grow and sustain CEOs for Cities, with an emphasis on securing foundation and corporate grants and event sponsorships.
Grant Writing and Research Assist the President and CEO with fundraising and resource development Direct the research for and writing of grant proposals to foundations and companies seeking support for research, new program initiatives, and corporate sponsorship of events Manage development and submission of proposals, budgets and reports to foundations and other donors. Oversee donor research and compliance with guidelines, writing and editing. Qualifications Passion for CEOs for Cities mission and knowledge of urban issues Strong experience in grant writing and research Strong facility with CRM and/or fundraising software Outstanding oral and written communications skills Outstanding research skills Very well organized, attentive to detail and able to juggle multiple projects Entrepreneurial spirit, high energy, positive attitude and diplomacy Ability to respond to challenges and the unexpected with flexibility and a sense of humor Overriding CEOs for Cities Teamwork Principle: The smaller the organization, the more important it is that team members can think on their feet, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and do whatever it takes, regardless of role or position, to get things done.
