Top golfers gather together for the Open de Espaa 2014

This years Open de Espaa will count with many top pro players within the top
100 World Ranking. This event is part of the European Professional Circuit and
will be held in the PGA Catalunya Resort between May 15
th
and May 18
th
.

At the top of the list we see three of the best players in the world, and perhaps
the most awaited to be seen playing. They are Sergio Garca, Miguel ngel
Jimnez and Gonzalo Fernndez Castao, number 8, 33 and 47 respectively in
the world ranking

Pablo Larrazbal (#62), Rafael Cabrera (#95) and Alejandro Caizares (#101)
will also be attending this event, completing the incredible team of players that
will be representing Spain in this years Open de Espaa.

Pablo Larrazbal from Barcelona considers this event one of the most important
for him. Apart from the Majors, this is his favorite event, especially now that it
will take place in an excellent golf course such as the PGA Catalunya Resort.

This Catalan golfer has recently succeeded in the European Circuit, particularly
in the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship held this past month of January, with also
victories from Sergio Garca, Miguel ngel Jimnez and Alejandro Caizares.

Pablo obtained the European Tour card through the Qualification School in 2007,
having a strong start just a few months after when he won the Open of France in
2008.

He later went into winning the BMW International Championship in 2011,
standing out as one of the best players in the world, and finishing in second place
in the Open de Espaa 2012.

On the other hand, Rafael Cabrera was fourth in the Open de Espaa 2002 while
he was still in the amateur level. He also went into winning all the possible titles
within the Spanish Championships from benjamin to junior categories.


The Open de Espaa 2014 fits within the Professional European Circuit and the
company Reale Seguros sponsors it.

Furthermore in this occasion the Generalitat de Catalunya also supports this
event through its Ministries of Sport and Tourism.

Additionally, PGA Catalunya Resort itself, together with the Diputaci de Girona,
Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, Ajuntament de Girona, Ajuntament de
Caldes de Malavella, Federacin Catalana de Golf and Consejo Superior de
Deportes, and the RFEG Sponsoring Club lead by Reale Seguros, will make
posible the celebration of this Open de Espaa 2014.
