(b) What is the difference between English bond and Flemish bond in brick masonry?

6 Differentiate between the following:
(a) Floating foundation and raft foundation.
(b) Combined footing and strap footing.

7 (a) Explain the various terms by means of a neat sketch, used in connection with the arch
work.
(b) Explain the construction procedure of a concrete floor, giving its relative merits and
De-merits.

8 (a) What is stucco plastering? Describe the method of applying stucco on interior and
