are adverbs of frequency.
The position of these adverbs is:
before the main verb
after a form of to be am, are, is (was, were)
The adverbs often, usually, sometimes and
occasionally can go at the beginning of a sentence.
Sometimes I go swimming.
Often we surf the internet.
Somtimes these adverbs are put at the end of the
sentence.
We read books occasionally.
KEY
1) e !istens to the radio.
He often listens to the radio.
") They read a book.
They sometimes read a book.
#) $ete gets angry.
Pete never gets angry.
%) Tom is very friend!y.
Tom is usually very friendly.
&) I take sugar in my coffee.
normally take sugar in my coffee.

!amon and "rank are seldom hungry.
*) +y grandmother goes for a wa!k in the evening.
#y grandmother regularly goes for a walk in the evening.
,) Wa!ter he!ps his father in the kitchen.

They rarely watch T& in the afternoon.

'hristine hardly ever smokes.
The adverbs can be used when talking about
the past, the present, or the future. But they
are most often used to talk about the present
tense, especially for beginners. Here are
three example sentences:
Sam always wakes up before the sun rises.
They sometimes walk to school.
never got sick last winter.
(ewrite the comp!ete sentence using the adverb in brackets in its correct position.
