The Riverside Police Department is partnering with 7-Eleven stores for their Operation Chill program this summer, which allows officers to reward kids "caught" doing good deeds with coupons for a free small Slurpee. Through Operation Chill, RPD officers will give coupons to children they see helping others, preventing crime, engaging in community activities safely, wearing bike helmets, or other good acts. The coupons can then be redeemed at local 7-Eleven stores for a cool treat.

RPD Ticketing For Good Acts
School is out and kids in Riverside may actually look forward to their next
encounter with the heat this summer - thanks to 7-Eleven stores and their
popular Operation Chill program that rewards positive behavior with a very
cool treat.
Through Operation Chill, officers from participating local police and sheriffs
departments can ticket youngsters caught in the act of doing good with a
Slurpee coupon. Offenses might include helping another person, deterring
crime, participating in a positive activity in the community, wearing a
bicycle helmet or doing a good deed.
Each coupon can be redeemed for a small Slurpee at participating 7-Eleven
stores.
