Compressive Strength of Cubes For 7 Days

The document reports on the results of an experiment investigating the use of cattle bone powder as a partial replacement for ordinary Portland cement in concrete. Compressive strength and split tensile strength were tested on concrete cubes and cylinders at 7 days and 28 days with cattle bone powder replacing cement at levels of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. The results show that compressive strength and split tensile strength generally increased from 7 to 28 days for all samples. Compressive strength peaked at 10-15% bone powder replacement, while split tensile strength peaked at 10% replacement. Overall, the addition of cattle bone powder as a partial cement replacement showed potential to improve the properties of concrete.
