1 When are the Fall 2014 admissions?
Admissions are being announced in Jang & the News on Sunday, May 18, 2014 and in Dawn on May 25, 2014. 2 What is the process of applying for admission? You have to submit the online admission form available (from April 30, 2014 onwards) on the website and visit the Institute the same or the next day to submit your documents, collect your admission kit, and admit card for the Test. You need to bring along your academic testimonials, employer certificate (if applicable) and 2 passport size photographs. 3 What is the last date of submission of forms? The last date is Monday, June 2, 2014. 4 How much is the processing fee: Rs.2000. 5 When is the Aptitude Test for Bachelors? and Masters? For Bachelors Programs Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 10:30am and for Masters/MPhil at 3:00pm 6 What will the test consist of? 3 sections of English Language, 1 of Mathematics, 1 of Word/Letter series and 1 of General Knowledge, that is 6 sections in all. However, for MS/MPhil descriptive part will also be included 7 What is the duration of the Test? 1 hour. 8 How many marks are there for the Test. It has 115 questions, all MCQS and there is negative marking in all sections of the Test. 1/3 point is cut for every wrong answer. 9 What is the criteria for American / Canadian High School Diploma? CGPA of 2.5. 10 How many A-levels are required and do you need equivalency? 3 A-levels with minimum two C grades excluding General Paper and Urdu. Equivalency is required for engineering programs. 11 What is the criteria for HSC students? Minimum 50% Marks in the qualifying examination. 12 What is the duration of the Bachelors degree? How many semesters? The Bachelors degree is of 4 years, that is, 8 semesters. There are two regular semesters in an academic year. 13 How many years is the MBA program? If you have 16 years of education, it is of 2 years duration; otherwise the duration is 3 years. 14 What is difference between MBA Weekend and other programs? MBA Weekend requires minimum 1 year work experience after graduation but for other programs work experience is not mandatory. 15 What is the difference between Regular and Weekend MBA? Regular is on weekdays (9:00 to 4:00 pm). Classes for Weekend MBA are held on Saturdays and Sundays. It is specially designed for people who are working, however, the course content is the same. 16 If somebody wants to transfer credits from some other university, what is the policy regarding this? You have to apply for admission as a fresh candidate. After admission you can submit your official transcript with a request to consider transfer of credits. Only few subjects credit will be transferred in which you have an A or B grade and the course outline matches ours.
