There aren8t reall4 an4 rules to *ork attitudes that *ould *ork 7est6 Cut there are
guidelines that 4ou can (ollo*6
It is normal to (eel nervous on 4our (ist da4 or even the (irst (e* *eeks at *ork6 !pproach
it *ith con(idence and al*a4s 7e mind(ul o( these attitudes6 The4 *ill serve 4ou *ell as 4ou start

appreciates tardiness6 Deliver on 4our promises 7e it to colleagues, clients or suppliers6

Taking initiatives should 7e part o( 4our *ork attitudes6 Iust 7ecause 4ou are ne* doesn8t

In m4 eDperience, a positive *ork attitude does not necessaril4 lead to apositive *ork
7ehavior6 Neither does a positive *ork 7ehavior indicate positive *ork attitude6
Let me illustrate 74 asking 4ou to do this6 "ave 4ou ever come across colleagues *ho are
eDtremel4 positive a7out a certain pro;ectE The4 can talk all da4 a7out *hat can 7e done and
should 7e done6 The4 speak *ith pride and the4 trul4 7elieve in the *ork6 Cut *hen it comes to
the real deal, 4ou see that the4 do not *ork hard at completing their end o( the 7argain6 $et
others *ork ver4 hard at their tasks 7ut lack the passion the4 in;ect into the *ork6 These *ork

When you know the difference between work attitude and work behavior, you can begin to align the
both of them. Once you align both your work attitude and work behavior to be the same, you will increase your
chances of succeeding in 4our career as a newbie by many folds.
