Monday Activities
Parachute Games: Supplies: Parachutes, balls
Popcorn: Every player places his/her ball on the parachute and everyone grabs and lifts the parachute with two hands. Then everyone starts (usually after the leader
says "GO!") pumping the chute up and down to remove the balls.
Tent: Mushroom, raise arms, and the entire group goes inside the mushroom and sits on the edges. Sing and chant inside
Shark Attack: Everyone sits with legs stretched out underneath the chute, which is held chest-high. One or two children are the "sharks" and crawl around under the
parachute and try to grab peoples legs to pull them under the chute. The "captured" is now the "shark".
Color Tag: Lift the parachute high into the air. Call out a color. Whoever is holding on to a handle connect to that color must run under the parachute and trade spots
with someone else before it comes down on them.

Musical Chairs/Limbo: Supplies: Stereo, Ipod from Liz or Sam, Empty butcher paper roll, chairs

Rubber Band Banjos: Supplies: 2 small Paper Plates, Rubber bands, Popsicle sticks, glue/tape
Cut a hole in the center of one of the paper plates. Staple the rims of the paper plates together, bowl sides facing in to make a guitar body. Tape/glue popsicle stick to
back of paper plate. Have campers decorate their paper plates. Stretch the rubber bands around the paper plate to make strings. See example

10:00-10:45 Rain sticks in the Party Room Hula Wars/Pizza Game in N. Gym
10:45-11:30 Hula Wars/Pizza Game in N. Gym Rain sticks in the Party Room

Hula Wars: Divide groups into two teams. Teams form a line and face off, with the leader of one team's line directly facing the leader of the other teams line. (as if shaking hands
at the end of a ball game). One player from each team steps forward, each with a hula hoop. At the whistle, they start to hula. The player that drops the hula hoop first is out
and the one that went the longest goes to the back of their line. Play continues until one side has no players left. Works best if you have accompanying music.

Pizza Game: Two "pizza makers" are picked to be "it." The rest of the players are "toppings." Ask the rest of the group to stand on one side of the field/gym. Assign each player a
topping. For example; Tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese, etc. The easiest way is to pick three topping and then give everybody one of those three toppings. The "pizza makers"
stand in the middle and call out a topping. The players whose topping was named then try and get to the other side of the gym, without getting tagged by the "pizza makers". If
they get tagged, they become a pizza maker and help the other pizza makers decide what topping to call out next and tag "toppings' as they run by.

Rain Sticks: Supplies: Toilet paper rolls, beans, tooth picks, markers, tape, tin foil
Campers can make their own rain sticks by inserting their toothpicks at random angles through their toilet paper rolls. They should tape paper/tin foil over the bottom
and fill the roll with a scoop of beans. Campers should tape paper/foil over the top of the roll and decorate the sides. See example.
