This document provides a grading rubric for Project #1: The Visual Analysis. It will be graded on content, organization, and style/tone/grammar. For content, the rubric evaluates an informative introduction, clear thesis, well-developed paragraphs with supporting details demonstrating engagement with the visual material, logical arguments creating a coherent overall argument, and a conclusion that does not add new information or summarize. For organization, it evaluates ideas in a logical sequence internally and overall, clear transitions between ideas, and each paragraph exploring a distinct idea thoroughly. For style/tone/grammar, it evaluates negligible grammar mistakes that do not impede understanding and an appropriate varied tone, style and syntax for the subject matter.
