ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
All international graduate students who are not native speakers of English are supposed to take the speaking section of the TOELF test
or the SPEAK test at FSU (http://cies.fsu.edu/itap/speak_exam.php). The university requires to have a score of 26 points or better in
the speaking section of the TOEFL test or 50 points of better in the SPEAK test in order to be eligible for a TA position. To be eligible
for a grader position the students must have at least 23-24 points in the speaking section of the TOEFL test or 45 points in the SPEAK
test.
