For Year 3 undergraduates (for those proceeding to Honours)
Sponsorship of tuition fees and other approved charges Maintenance allowance Sponsorship for Masters degree (if requirements are met) $6000 paid in 2 tranches (if the undergraduate is proceeding for his/her Honours year of study in the following semester at the point of award) Sponsorship of Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) teacher preparation programme at the National Institute of Education (NIE), after completion of first degree Length of Bond Recipients of the MOE Teaching Award are required to serve a 4-year bond. Teaching Award Application Application for the MOE Teaching Award for all GCE A level graduates or equivalent/Diploma Holders applying for university admission and current undergraduates is closed.
Application process for application without teaching qualification Step one : get to know the various teacher training programs available All selected candidates without teaching qualification will have to undergo training at the Nation institute of Education ( NIE ). Degree Holders: Postgraduate Diploma in Education All PGDE trainees, except Physical Education teacher trainees, undergo a 1-year programme. The PGDE training programme at NIE will typically cover: Education Studies Curriculum Studies Practicum Language Enhancement and Academic Discourse Skills
