Tributes from districts 1-4
Katniss was earlier surrounded by them while they tried
to kill her
Katniss is now scared that the Career Tributes will find
her because she blew up their survival tools/base







Rue and Katniss teamed together
They came up with an idea to blow up the other Career
Tributes weapons/ resources
She loses her hearing and her left ear started bleeding
after she blew up their weapons/ resources




Katniss can not walk because the ground is trembling
Katniss crawls into the edge of the woods just as Cato
and his allies enter the clearing
Cato kills the boy from district 3 because he thought he
blew the materials up
Katniss watches as Cato and the allies rummage through
the remains of the explosion and are upset at the loss of
their supplies


Once they leave she heads out to find shelter and a place
to sleep overnight
Katniss hides overnight afraid that the Careers will find
her and kill her
Katniss finds leaves and pine needles to cover herself to
keep warm
Throughout the night she worries about Rue and her
safety
She eats the remainder of the fish she had caught in the
stream
Katniss waits for Rue at the first meeting point and Rue
does not come
As the day progresses Katniss begins to worry if Rue is
alright
Katniss works her way down to the stream to clean
herself off and get more water
Katniss hears the sounds of a Mockingjay
Katniss follows the sound of the Mockinjay
She gets excited at the idea of seeing Rue again
As she approaches a clearing she hears a girls scream
It has to be Rue since no one else in the Hunger Games is
that young
She comes upon Rue tangled in a net
As she tries to release Rue from the net, a spear hits Rue
and kills her
Katniss had made an ally in Rue
Rue had helped her beat Cato and the other Career
Tributes, the night before
Katniss was upset because Rue was killed and she
reminded her of Prim
