Calculation of Fluid Needs in Surgery

This document provides guidelines for calculating fluid needs during surgery based on a patient's body weight. For weights up to 10kg, the recommended fluid amount is 4mL per kg per hour. From 11-20kg, the amount is 40mL plus an additional 2mL per kg for each kg over 10. For weights over 20kg, the amount is 60mL plus an additional 1mL per kg for each kg over 20.
