Walden Green 2014-15 Schedule

Weekly Class Schedule


Monday: 3:00-3:55 Beginning Woodwind (Flute, Clarinet, Sax) & Percussion
3:45-4:40 Beginning Brass (Trumpet/Cornet,Trombone)
Tuesday: 3:00-3:55 Advanced Band
3:45-4:40 Orchestra (Violin, Viola, & Cello)
Wednesday: 3:00-3:55 Beginning Brass
3:45-4:40 See Calendar for Rotating Sectional Day which begins the
middle of October. Calendar posted after 1
st
week of class.
Example days: Percussion Drum Sectional (Beginning &
Advanced), Advanced Brass , Advanced WW, or All Group
Rehearsals
Thursday: 3:00-3:55 Advanced Band
3:45-4:40 Orchestra
Friday: 3:00-3:55 Beginning Woodwind & Percussion

Each group meets at least twice a week.

Opportunities to attend band more than 2 times each week at no extra cost:
Each Wednesday from 3:45 4:40 PM will be a rotating OPTIONAL session which focuses on a specific
group Percussion/Brass/WW. This will allow Percussion to work on Drum technique which is
completely different than learning Bells with WW sessions. It will also allow Advanced Band students an
option to learn advance techniques specific to their Brass or Woodwind instrument since they typically
meet as an entire ensemble.
Advanced Band Students are welcome to come assist & play with Beginning Band Students on
corresponding sectional day (i.e. Advanced Brass attend Beginning Brass time on either day, Advance
Woodwinds attend Beginning WW time).
Beginning Band Students who progress well may have the privilege of attending Advance Band times
with Amys permission.
