Gather the students together as a class.
Remind students about their whale picture form the previous lesson, and how
it was labeled in detail.
Tell the students that in their pairs, they will now be labeling their imaginary
Antarctic animal just like the whale.
Tell students that they need to have at least three small explanations on a body
part and why that feature was drawn.
While students are doing this, walk around the room and help individuals who
are struggling.
If students are to finish quickly, tell students to draw the habitat that their
animal would live in around the animal itself. They can then on the back of the
sheet justify and a couple of sentences why that is the habitat it lives in.
These drawings are to be hung up around the room.

Student interest and engagement will be monitored in order to make positive
adjustments to future lessons.
Creations of the students will be hung up around the room so that peer
assessment can take place. It will also allow students to refer back to how to
label diagrams in the future.
