Narrative Paragraph
Directions: Write a 1 paragraph essay telling a personal story. Follow the writing process by
completing each of the following in order: prewriting, planning, rough draft, revising, and
publishing. Evidence of each stage of the writing process must be submitted. MLA format must
be followed.
The topic sentence of the essay should indicate the importance of the incident. The
concluding sentence must remind readers of the main point and make an observation based upon
it. The topic and concluding sentences must be only one sentence each.
The body of the paragraph must contain three primary details. Each primary detail must
have two secondary details. The body of the paragraph must be 5 8 sentences.
This same paragraph will be written three times once for each point of view (POV).
Maintain consistency in each POV.
Grammar and mechanics will be graded for accuracy. Particular attention will be given to
topics previously covered in class.
