FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Full Closure on State Route 905 Friday Night
SAN DIEGO Caltrans announced that construction crews will close eastbound State
Route 905 (SR-905) from La Media Road to Siempre Viva Road on Friday night at 10
until 8 in the morning on Saturday. The westbound direction will close later in the
evening as construction progresses. The full closure is needed for bridge work over
SR-905 as part of the State Route 11 Otay Mesa East Port of Entry Project.
Travelers on eastbound SR-905 will be detoured onto southbound La Media Road, then
eastbound on Siempre Viva Road to the eastbound SR-905 on-ramp.
Vehicles traveling west from the port of entry will be directed onto Siempre Viva Road
off-ramp, turn left onto eastbound Simpre Viva Road, turn right onto northbound La
Media Road to the State Route 905 on-ramp.
Construction on the first segment of the State Route 11-Otay Mesa East Port of Entry
Project started in December and will include building connectors to SR-905 plus a
stretch of the new SR-11 highway from SR-905 east to Enrico Fermi Drive.
