CALCULATION OF ALLOWABLE S B C OF C- SOIL
AS PER IS : 1904 / 6403.
( Actual Program is available in Super Civil CD. )
PROGRAM INFO / LIMITATIONS.
This program calculates allowable safe bearing capacity of C- soil.
The program is not suitable for only cohesive soil ( = 0) .
Gross safe bearing capacity = Net safe bearing capacity + Over burden (density x
soil depth).
In case the S P T ( N' ) value is not given the program calculates the same from
available value. When the S P T ( N ' ) value is given, program applies
correction factors to it & arrives at corrected N value.

NOTE: IN ORDER TO KEEP THE DIFFERENTIAL SETTLEMENT TO A BARE MINIMUM, IT IS
PRUDENT TO RESTRICT THE TOTAL SETTLEMENT IN BUILDINGS TO 25 MM.
