Socratic Seminar Grading Rubric

This rubric provides grading criteria for student participation in a Socratic seminar discussion. It evaluates students on their ability to ask and answer big questions about the text, make logical connections to other students' ideas and explain their own perspectives, give clear opinions on other students' comments with explanations and references to the text, and agree or disagree with other students' comments while providing explanations or references to support their stance. Points are awarded based on how fully students meet the criteria.
