SIMPLE PAST TENSE

We use the simple past tense to talk about actions that happened
in the past.
Orthography rules
Si el verbo termina en e tan solo agrega una d.
smile
smiled
hope

Si el verbo termina en dos consonantes, agrega ed al verbo.
help

Si el verbo termina en dos vocales + una consonante,
aumenta ed.

Si el verbo termina en una vocal + una consonante, dobla la
consonante y agrega ed.

Si el verbo termina en vocal + y, solo aumenta la terminacin
ed.

Si el verbo termina en y, pero antes hay una consonante,
cambia la y por i y agrega ed.

Recuerda, es muy frecuente usar expresiones de tiempo como:
last year, yesterday, yesterday morning, last week, last night, two
years ago, a year ago, etc.

Usamos did para hacer preguntas y oraciones negativas.
