News Release: Police Continue To Respond To Citizens Traffic Concerns

The Riverside Police Department conducted an intensified traffic enforcement detail on September 26th from 3PM to 11PM. During this detail, officers issued 25 citations with a focus on speeding, speeding in school zones, and other violations. The areas targeted were in response to complaints from residents in Fairbank, Barrypoint, and along Woodside Road. Sixteen citations were for speeding and four were for speeding in school zones. Sgt. Leo Kotor stated they will evaluate the data to determine if the enforcement made the roads safer.

Police Continue to Respond To
Citizens Traffic Concerns

The Intensified Traffic Enforcement detail was operational on Friday, September 26,
2014. The detail was run from 3PM to 11PM.
A total of 25 citations were issued for various violations. The main violations were for
speeding and speeding in school zone. The department focused on neighborhood
complaints or concerns that were received from our residents and business
community. Areas were targeted at the request of emails received from residents.
Fairbank
Barrypoint
Woodside Road
School Zones

16 of the 25 citations issued were for speeding and 4 of the 25 were for speeding in
school zone.
Sgt. Leo Kotor stated, The next step will be gathering data, and evaluating to see if
an impact was made to make the roads safer.
