Tips For Good Recording of Chess Moves: (Do These and You Won't Mess Up)

1. Always record your move by writing with your dominant hand after pushing the clock button. 2. Record your opponent's move before making your own, and always put down your writing tool between moves. 3. Tips for Good Recording of Chess Moves
(Do these and you wont mess up)
1. Always make your move, push the clock button, and write
with your dominant hand (the hand you normally write
with).
2. Always put down your pen/pencil after recordin a move.
!. "hen your opponent moves, always record your
opponents move (and put down your pencil) before
makin your own move.
#. $rint neatly (no cursive) and remember% &ppercase
(capital) letters are only for pieces, lowercase letters for
pawns, files, or s'uares.
(. )aptures never start or end with X. *ts always in the
middle. $iece captures bein with +, ,, -, ., or / (i.e.
-0,d1), pawn captures bein with the pawns name or
s'uare (i.e. e0d( or e#0d().
2. "hen two pieces of the same type can move to the same
s'uare you must tell them apart (i.e. -ad1 or -fd1).
3. .ever erase4 5imply draw a thin line throuh the mistake
and bein aain. 5kip a line (or two) if you have to. *f
you have missed several moves o to the correct line and
continue recordin. 6i0 the errors after the ame.
