This document describes several types of bridge circuits used for electrical measurements: 1) The Wheatstone bridge, Maxwell-Wien bridge, and Hay bridge are commonly used inductance bridges. The Maxwell-Wien bridge is the most common for inductance measurements. 2) The Scherring bridge is used for high-voltage and high-frequency measurements due to its capacitor and variable capacitor configurations. It can also precisely measure dielectric loss. 3) The series inductance and series capacitance comparison bridges are basic circuits to compare inductance and capacitance through resistance balancing. The series capacitance bridge is most common.
