How To Calculate Metering Regulating Station Inlet and Outlet Pipe Diameter
This document provides instructions on how to calculate the inlet and outlet pipe diameters for a metering regulating station (MR/S) using the Weymouth formula. It explains that the formula can be filled out manually or downloaded from the website. It lists the variables needed for the formula - pipe diameter, gas flow rate, gas velocity, and pressure. It specifies the maximum allowable velocities and notes that the most critical calculation is at minimum inlet and outlet pressures.

How to calculate Metering Regulating Station (MR/S) I nlet and Outlet Pipe Diameter? Calculation of Pipe Diameter Inlet and Outlet a Metering Regulating Station (MR/S) based on " WEYMOUTH Formula", you can fill this formula by yourself or if you are need ready made, you can download at other side page on this website.
Where :
D = Pipe Diameter (mm) Q = Gas Flow Rate (Sm3/h) V = Gas Velocity (m/sec)
Maximum Allowable velocity for unfiltered gas, such as inlet filter is 20 m/sec Maximum Allowable velocity for filtered gas, such as outlet filter is 40 m/sec
P = Pressure (Bar gauge)
The most critical calculation where the pressure at minimum condition. Based on MR/S model number, critical condition will occurs at Minimum Inlet and Minimum Outlet
