Other inhalers not sold in the U.S:

Symbicort ( budesenide formoterol fumarate dehydrate)


Combination inhaler similar to Advair, although it appears that it works quicker and can
be used as a rescue inhaler (It is not used as part of the smart program in Europe and
Canada).

Alvesco® (ciclesonide)
This is a corticosteroid that penetrates to the small airways to treat inflammation
Airomir (Salbutamol sulfate) = same as Albuterol (sold in Europe and Canada)
Becloforte (Beclomethasone dipropionate) = corticosteroid (UK, discontinued)
Beclovent (Beclomethasone Dipropionate) = corticosteroid
Vanceril (Beclomethasone Dipropionate) = corticosteroid
QVAR (Beclomethasone Dipropionate) = corticosteroid

Foracort = combination inhaler = generic Symbicort


Foradill (formoterol fumarate) = long acting bronchodilaotr like Serevent (one of two
active ingredients in Symbicort)

Seroflo rotocaps = Advair generic

Salbutamol – it’s the generic name for Albuterol in Europe and Canada

Butovent (Salbutamol) – another version of Ventolin sold outside the U.S.
