Identify the elements that connect the 3 different parts of the

magazine NME
The Colour scheme connects
all 3 of these pages. On each
page red, black and white
are predominantly used. This
also links each one back to
the house style.
Mise en scene, both the
double page spread and
front cover use graffiti as a
background. The contents
page does not use the
graffiti background
although it does use the
rule of thirds for the
organisation of the page,
as do the other pages.
Each page has some
sort of title which
adds organisation to
the magazine, making
it clear what each
page is about.
(masthead, page title
or main headline).
The sans serif
font is these
pages and
consistent
throughout the
whole
magazine which
brings the
magazine pages
together
showing
continuity.
Each page has at least one image which links to
the article or text. Images are used to attract a
wider audience, often readers will flick through
the magazine without reading every page so
bright images will attract their attention and tend
to be more interesting than large chunks of text.
