This report is a document based on the findings of the major research project funded by
ICSSR. The study aims to identify existing forms of parental mediation practices in respect of
ICT uses by the youth (14-20 years age group) in Indian households. While mentioning
parental mediation practices in ICT uses by the youth around the world, this report suggests
which form of parental mediation may be an appropriate one in Indian socio-cultural context.
It also suggests possible policy implications with regard to ICT uses by the young.
